Your recent post really made me giggle. I, also have only 104 followers and I will forever be grateful for every "like" I get from them. A small amount compared to most I follow but amazing to me none the less. And, like you, I have "liked" about 1500 posts and each like represents me saying, "WOW, I would totally frame that and hang that on my wall!" I never get bored at all the talent that pops up on my dash every day.
So I’m either not as strange as I thought, or we’re both as bad as each other. :)
Even though it’s far from perfect, Tumblr makes it easy to appreciate other peoples work without getting into the critical culture that surrounds some sites. Criticism is a good thing, but sometimes you just want to soak up other peoples work without the running commentary. I quite like it here, and always leave feeling like I’ve experienced something new - sometimes, simple heartfelt images from the lives of others help you to appreciate your own surroundings far more than any amount of high art.
Ah, one more thng: I always check out accounts that follow mine, but for some reason I didn’t spot yours - I think it must have been when Tumblr was in a mood the other day. Just looking through your archive now and you have some superb work there, look forward to seeing more :)
